He was born in a very strict noble family. His father believed them to be superior to others due to his nationalistic mindset. All children got an expensive education and early on learned how to fight. When he was sixteen his father deemed him too weak and disgraceful, so he was sent off to serve his country's army where he fought for many years, until he met his wife. She was born in the country of the enemy, but even though every was against it they still decided to marry.

They lived together in a loving home and they got two children. At one point, he had to return to the army as they needed every soldier they could use. Not long after he left his house burned down and his wife perished in that fire. By the time he got news of this his children were already taken in by his oldest brother who did everything in his power to keep his children away from him. His many attempts to see them again sadly failed until he could only see them once every few years.
